Laser Hair Removal - Lasers are designed to remove unwanted hair through selective photothermolysis. This process involves selective absorption of an intense light pulse at wavelengths that are absorbed by the targets (hair follicles) but not by the surrounding tissue. During your consultation, we assess the veins you wish to have removed and set a price based on the amount of treatment required. Your treatment is based depends on the size, location & depth of the veins. Treatments are usually spaced 3 - 6 weeks apart. The actual time treatment can range from 15 - 45 minutes.
After a laser vein treatment your skin will look red and swollen. Depending the on the size, depth and location of the vein, this redness and swelling can last several days. You will need to be protected from the sun by avoiding the sun or using a sunblock of 15 SPF or higher. The area can be covered with makeup immediately following the treatment.
Post complications are very rare. However, with any treatment there are inherent risks. The potential advers side effects include; scarring, crusting, thinning of the skin, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (loss of color in the area).
